Our Ministry History
Calling and Ministry
The Lord led us to Campus Crusade for Christ in a very exciting way. It began when Valerie & I were in college. We were both very involved in Campus Crusade for Christ at Texas A&M University. When we were seriously dating, a Campus Crusade staff member encouraged us to attend a FamilyLife Marriage Conference in San Antonio, TX. The Lord used that conference to confirm in our hearts that it was His will for us to be married. We attended three more conferences in Houston, TX and we became involved in the Executive Committee. It was through this deeper involvement that we began to feel the Lord leading us to FamilyLife. As we asked the Lord to confirm this decision, He began to bring to our attention many families around us that were hurting and needed to be strengthened. The Lord turned our initial interest in helping families into a passion to see families reached for Christ.
